Privacy Policy

    1. Who We Are

Coztech Solutions LLC ("Coztech," "we," "us," "our") is a Michigan limited liability company based in West Bloomfield, Michigan. We provide computer support, Wi-Fi and network setup, smart home installation, TV mounting and audio/video services, and remote technology help — in your home and remotely — across West Bloomfield, Clarkston, and Oakland County.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.

    2. Information You Give Us

    • Contact and service request forms: your name, phone number, email address, service address, a description of what is going wrong, preferred appointment times, and how you heard about us
    • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, and your name if you include it
    • Phone calls, text messages, emails, and live chat: the contact details you use and the contents of our conversation, including any voicemail
    • Payment and billing details: the services you received, invoice amounts, and payment status

Card and ACH payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your card number, your bank account number, or your online banking password on our own systems — and we will never ask you to send one to us.

    3. Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, ours collects some information on its own when you visit:

    • IP address and the general location that can be inferred from it
    • Browser type, device type, and operating system
    • Pages you viewed and how you arrived at our site
    • Cookie and analytics identifiers created by our analytics tools

    4. Information We Collect While Helping You

    • Service records: notes about the device or system we worked on, what we did, and whether the problem came back
    • Remote sessions: the session code, the date and time, and the systems you allowed us to access (see Section 9)
    • Parts and materials: what we supplied, and its model or serial number where relevant
    • Photos: a before-and-after photo when it helps document the work — only of the equipment, never of your personal files or screens

    5. How We Use Your Information

    • To answer your call, message, or service request and get back to you quickly
    • To schedule, prepare for, and carry out the work you asked for
    • To send invoices, receipts, appointment confirmations, and payment reminders
    • To follow up on work we have already done — including a free re-check if the same problem comes back
    • To keep our own service records so we can help you faster next time
    • To send the newsletter and service updates you asked for
    • To understand which pages and offers are useful, so we can improve this site
    • To meet our legal, tax, and insurance obligations and to protect our rights

We do not use your information for anything else, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click at any time.

    6. We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising on other websites. We do not build profiles of you, and we do not buy or sell marketing lists. Full stop.

    7. When We Share Information

We share personal information only with the companies that help us run this business, and only as much as they need to do their part:

    • Our website and its forms: our hosting provider, which serves this site and processes the contact, SOS, and newsletter forms on our behalf
    • Customer records: our customer relationship management system, where your contact details and service history are kept so we can find them when you call
    • Remote support: our remote-access provider, used only during a session you have approved
    • Analytics and live chat: our website analytics and chat providers (see Section 8)
    • Payments: our third-party payment processor, which handles card and ACH payments on our behalf. Your card number and bank account details go to them, not to us — we keep only the invoice, the amount, and the payment status
    • Phone calls: if a call is handled by our automated phone assistant, that provider processes the call to route and record it

We may also disclose information when the law requires it (a court order, a subpoena, or a request from a public authority), to collect a debt owed to us, to protect the rights and safety of our clients or the public, or as part of selling or transferring the business — in which case we will tell you, and the commitments in this policy follow your information.

We will never ask you to send your password to anyone. No real company — including us — calls to confirm your password. If someone does, it is a scam. Call us first and we will tell you straight.

    8. Cookies, Analytics & Live Chat

Our site uses a small number of third-party tools. Each one may set its own cookies and receive your IP address:

    • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — usage statistics, such as which pages are visited. Privacy policy
    • PostHog (PostHog Inc.) — product analytics that show us how the site is used. Privacy policy
    • tawk.to (tawk.to inc.) — the live chat widget, so we can answer your questions while you are on the site. Privacy policy
    • Google Fonts (Google LLC) — the typeface this site loads, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page opens. Privacy policy

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You are in control of all of it: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and use PostHog's opt-out setting. The site still works without them.

    9. Remote Support Sessions

When we help you remotely, you start the session and you stay in charge of it:

    • You give us permission through a one-time session code — we cannot connect without it
    • You can end the session at any moment by closing it on your screen
    • We look only at what is needed to fix the problem you reported
    • Sessions may be recorded for quality, training, and to verify billing — nothing else
    • Recordings are deleted after 90 days

    10. How Long We Keep Information

    • Contact details, service history, and invoice records: kept while you are a client, then up to 3 years after your last service (for tax and warranty reasons)
    • Remote session recordings: 90 days
    • Call recordings and chat transcripts, where we keep them: up to 12 months
    • Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe
    • Website analytics data: as configured by each analytics provider, typically up to 14 months

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will — unless the law requires us to keep a particular record, such as an invoice for tax purposes.

    11. How We Protect Your Information

    • Encryption in transit (TLS) for everything you send through this site, and for remote support sessions
    • Access limited to the people who need it in order to serve you
    • Strong, unique credentials and two-step verification on the business accounts we hold
    • We keep as little as possible in the first place — no card numbers, no banking passwords

No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will contact you promptly, tell you what happened, and tell you what to do about it.

    12. Your Choices and Your Rights

However you found us, and wherever you live, you can ask us to:

    • Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
    • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
    • Delete your information (subject to records we must keep by law)
    • Stop sending you the newsletter or any other marketing — one click, or just tell us
    • Send this policy to you in another format, including large print or on paper

Just contact us using the details in Section 16 and we will take care of it. If you are a Michigan resident — or live anywhere else without a privacy law of its own — these same choices are yours, and we will not charge you or treat you differently for using them. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable law.

    13. Children's Privacy

Our site and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

    14. Links to Other Sites

Our site and our emails may link to other websites — for example, a device maker's support page or an article we recommend. We do not control those sites and this policy does not cover them. Check their privacy notices before sharing information with them.

    15. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If the change is significant, we will also let our clients know directly. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
